Trish Bergin
Trish, a seasoned executive with a rich history spanning both public and private sectors, currently holds the position of Public Sector Co-design Leader at the new Public Partnerships and Impact Hub (PPIH) within the School of Professional Studies at UNSW Canberra. As the pivotal link between the Faculty, public sector entities, and industry clients, Trish plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration.
Additionally, Trish serves as the pro-bono Chair of the Women’s Legal Centre, ACT and Regions. She holds the title of Adjunct Professor at both the University of NSW and the University of Canberra, specifically in the Faculty of Business, Government, and Law. Trish is an active member of the Business Advisory Board of Rowdy Inc., a distinguished strategic communications company based in Canberra, and continues to offer coaching services to individual clients.
In her previous role until late 2021, Trish served as Co-Director, Governance, at the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation at the University of Canberra. This foundation is dedicated to achieving equal representation of women in leadership roles within the public sector in Australia and the broader region.
Before her current roles, Trish held Senior Executive Band 2 positions within the Australian Public Service. Notably, she served as the Group Manager, Corporate (2016-17) and concluded her APS career in 2019 as the leader of the Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. In this capacity, Trish spearheaded a capability and transformation process, enhancing the economic, data, and communications skills of the Division. She successfully led two substantial cross-portfolio budget packages addressing women’s economic security and safety.
